OPTIMISM = GOOD HEALTH

Hello everyone, I'm Pooja and in this post I would like to share my thought on being healthy. Healthy you makes for a healthy home. But how to remain healthy? Here a simple way for it - "Always look at the brighter side of your life".  Optimism makes you happy." People who live to be older than a 100 years tend to be optimistic." When you are feeling down about yourself, it directly reflects in your attitude and you'll have a gloomy day. Whereas when you have a positive attitude, you'll have an amazing day, you observe and learn from the surroundings and get positivity in return. "Also optimism strengthens your immune system."

Here is a couple of tips to feel positive:
1.Write down your goals on a piece of paper.
2.Find positive friends- When you are feeling low, you call your friends who can lift you up.
Life will have barriers, it's okay, take up the challenge, run through the barriers. If your not able to do it by yourself, you can do it together. But never give up. "It's good to sit alone for sometime everyday.. But- when you sit alone, don't sit with your past, sit alone to dream your future."
Think about the peace and satisfaction you'll get on achieving your dreams and desires.
And let that thought boost your energy and stimulate you to work in the right direction.

Forget about the past, dream about the future but LIVE in your present. Your present is a present that you've got. So enjoy every bit of it.
Ultimately, positivity gives us happiness and happiness gives us good health.

SIMPLE SKIN CARE NECESSITIES

a. Drink Lots of Water:

Make it a habit to drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water every single day. This is not just a common advice, water is essential for proper functioning of the body. There is fluid loss from the body due to evaporation and sweating and also via urination. This loss needs to be compensated by drinking plenty of water and juices
Water energizes you and relieves you from fatigue. When you are dehydrated and tired your face looks really dull. The skin mirrors your health, so you should treat water like a nutrient and drink it. Water keeps your skin hydrated but it doesn’t remove wrinkles. Since water improves digestion it makes your face fresh and free of acne.

b. Sleep Well:

If you don’t sleep it shows on your face. You look irritated and tired. The solution is don’t skip your beauty sleep and do not stay awake till late hours in the night. Lack of sleep cause the blood vessels to dilate and this result in dark circles.
The skin undergoes repairing, restoration and rebalancing while you are sleeping. The dead skin cells give away to newer cells and the face gets an instant lift. All the hormonal and metabolic changes occur in the body while you are sleeping. So lack of sleep disrupts the body processes. Seven to eight hours of sleep is absolutely needed if you want a healthy skin. However, don’t oversleep it can cause cell breakdown, maintain a balance.
Fix your sleeping and waking time. Sleep on a soft pillow and also make sure the pillow cover is also soft.

c. Exercise:

You must exercise for at least 30 minutes every day. When you do any physical activity the blood carries oxygen and nutrients to all the cells, including your skin cells and makes it healthy. Exercise also helps to remove cellular debris and free radicals from the body and cleanse it from within. Sometimes, stress causes the sebaceous glands to secrete more sebum and this triggers skin problems like eczema and acne. Exercise helps to de-stress and this keeps skin problems at bay. Most important, exercise tones your body and makes you look beautiful.

d. Exfoliate:

Follow a good skin care routine. Do not skip exfoliation as without this, you cannot get rid of dead and dry skin that accumulates and makes your complexion appear dull.

e. Have Vitamin Rich Food:

Incorporate Vitamin A and Vitamin C rich foods in your diet. This will bring a natural glow to your skin. Vitamin C tablets are also available.

Hi guys!

In today’s generation, everyone is becoming health and fitness conscious. People are finding new ways in which they can reduce weight quickly and effortlessly. Maintaining a proper weight is very important not only to look fit, fine and gorgeous but also to reduce diseases and other health related problems. Fats play a major role in causing health related issues and thus it is important to burn the fat that we intake.

The best way to maintain weight is by exercising regularly and also to maintain a proper diet which includes more of proteins, carbohydrates, etc and less of fats and oils.

Nowadays people are very lazy, or exhausted by the end of the day (after the day’s work) that they do not find time nor do they have the energy to work out. Also fast food have been replacing healthy food as they are easily available, tastier and cheaper than any other food. Thus it is important to avoid eating fast food or junk foods and shift to healthy eating habits.

Another important issue is that teenagers think that by skipping meals and eating in lesser amount will help them reduce weight easily. But apart from reducing it does affect ones health.

One such experience happened with me. I also like all those teenagers wanted to loose weight quickly. I decided to skip my breakfast, reduce the quantity of food I ate for lunch and dinner. Also I used to work out for hours, climbing stairs, etc. At the end I fell sick and my blood pressure levels came down.

Thus I would like you to always remember that do not skip meals to reduce weight. Instead exercise regularly and maintain a healthy diet.

My Strength that became weak

Hi! I'm Pooja and I’ve never liked visiting hospitals, especially when I play the patient. It makes me feel sick even if I’m quite fine. And throughout my school life I was lucky enough to avoid hospitals as I hardly fell sick. I would flaunt my strong immunity to everyone. I could play basketball for long hours and I could even challenge boys in athletics. I felt so confident in everything I did.

Last year, on the 20th of August, after about 12 years, I was running high temperature and the reports showed that I was suffering Typhoid. I became so weak that I had to take drips twice a day. I could do nothing but lie on the bed for an entire week. It was then that I realised that I wasn’t as fit as I was during my schooling. And the sole reason for it was the discontinuance of physical activities. Once I stepped into college, sports had no role in my daily schedule. I hardly shed sweat and as a result I had to follow a strict diet to maintain my waistline.

Earlier I played basketball every day for at least an hour and a half, I would go cycling to school, and of course, I ate whatever I felt like. It was my sports that gave me the fitness. Dieting alone can only assure a lean figure whereas exercise keeps you active, strengthens the immune system and yes, maintains the figure too. It make you bold and competent in life.

After a week, when I went to college, the first question anyone would ask was how do you feel now?? Or are you still on your pills?? I felt bad about the health deterioration.

It’s been a few months and till date I’m not back to the real ME.

In October I turned 18 and I had a long-time wish of donating blood on the very day I become an adult legally. But due to Typhoid, I had to wait for a minimum period of six months before I can give blood and I’m still waiting.

I’ve learnt my lesson for skipping physical exercise and I hope you don’t repeat my mistakes and compromise with your wishes, may it be blood donation or having a big bowl of full fat ice-cream.

“Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it.” ~Plato
